NO NEED FOR "CIVIL RIGHTS" LAWS

I noticed the press coverage of the little spat between Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama the other day over comments related to the significance of the efforts of Martin Luther King in the advancement of the “civil rights” movement. In that I have no use for either of those two Democrat candidates, I'll not take sides in that specific issue. My thoughts on the matter lead me to question the logic of our government as to why we needed all those oppressive civil rights laws in the first place.
The communist-backed MLK civil rights movement, and the excessive legislation which resulted from it, were totally without merit. The Hippie culture and the so-called civil rights movement were the products of an unchecked anti-American subversive strategy. The answer to lowering the crime rate against blacks in the South, or against anyone, for that matter, would have been stricter enforcement of the existing laws.
Kidnapping, rape, murder, and all crimes of violence were more than sufficiently covered by existing laws. If the federal government wanted to crack down on crimes against blacks, all it had to do was lay down the law to any offending state that, ALL FEDERAL FUNDING would be withheld from that state until they cleaned up their act. MONEY TALKS!
Remember how your state government bowed in fear before the federal government when the 1974 Emergency Highway Energy Conservation Act was put into law?... When our individual states were told to cut the speed limit to 55-mph, OR ELSE!
And what was that fear based on?
Loss of MONEY!
The threat of losing federal funds can bring even the boldest governor to his / her knees.
After the civil rights agenda was allowed to advance from the 1960's and 1970's, the framework for “GAY RIGHTS”... “ABORTION RIGHTS”... “ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT RIGHTS”... “AFFIRMATIVE ACTION,” and now “HATE CRIME LAWS”...”HATE SPEECH LAWS,” etc. And the list goes on-and-on!
The continued violation of MY rights now must plague me, only because the communist agenda has been either ignored, or so cleverly disguised so that a complacent and sleeping American public would allow its government to repeatedly enact such totalitarian legislation.
