    DOWN THE DUMPER

Newsweek had errantly reported that U.S. interrogators at Guantanamo Bay flushed copies of the Koran down the toilet in an effort to intimidate Muslim terror suspects.

Not that I would ever come to the aid of a leftist rag like Newsweek, but the underlying problem here is not the hap-hazard reporting by Newsweek, but the fact that we have been mentally programmed to walk ever so softly around the issue of Muslim violence.

Islam... “the religion of peace.” Yeah, sure. -- While we must walk a politically correct tight rope over any issue dealing with the Muslims, we Christians and Jews are fair game for ridicule and persecution just about everywhere around the globe; no less in the United States. When we see [our] religious symbols desecrated or banned from public display, do we riot in the streets? When the Holy scriptures and their reference to [our] Lord are barred from open discussion in our public schools, do we succumb to mob rule to attack and kill those who oppose our religion? Not likely.

Can you even begin to comprehend the mayhem that would result if one of our fundamentalist churches would have a public Koran burning ceremony? I’m not certain how the Muslims would react, but it sure would be interesting to see the reaction of our politically-correct cowards who manage our puppet government in Washington. September 11, 2001 should have at least been acknowledged by our government for what it was. It was an act of war committed in the name of Islam. We were, as we are now, engaged in a Holy war. Like the ‘Borg’ encountered by the star ship Voyager in the Star Trek TV series, the Muslims are determined to either assimilate us into their mind set, or completely wipe us out!

The talking heads of the news media and our government continue to belch their pro-Islam propaganda, which attempts to console us into believing that it is only a few “radical” Muslims who are resorting to violence against us “infidels” around the world. But the Muslims themselves have failed to convince us that anything but the negative is true. If it is only a minority of Muslims who resort to acts of violence, why don't the supposed majority of peaceful Muslims make their voice known by expressing at least some degree of outrage over the brutality and violent actions of their militant brothers and sisters?

Could it be that the Islamic faith itself not only condones such violence, but demands it? The burden of proof lies upon the nation of Islam to vindicate its people from the stigma of its violent reputation. While the BOMBINGS and BEHEADINGS continue, we are supposed to treat our known enemies with ridiculous extremes of protocol. Our guards at Guantanamo Bay must wear surgical gloves when in contact with their Muslim captives so that they (the Muslims) are not contaminated by us infidels as we hand them their copies of the Koran, which we furnish courtesy of the U.S. government. The Muslim interpreters hired by the CIA and FBI have been given their own separate latrine facilities so that their poor little Islamic bodies are not contaminated by American “infidel filth.”

By yielding to their every demand, we are not gaining their respect. To the contrary, the Muslims view us as a very weak and foolish nation, and will continue to exploit our naivety. Trying to appease them will in no way change or moderate their millennium-long legacy of violence. Our government is long overdue to face the true and full threat of Islam. But as always, Washington will seek a politically-correct solution to the problem rather than obey its Constitutional duty to defend this nation against our enemies. Maybe it’s already too late. Our American Spirit may have already gone DOWN THE DUMPER!
