When the PEOPLE are allowed to voice their OWN opinion, and that opinion is heard without any media slant, the outcome is usually not to the liking of the far-left.

It does my heart good, even though I am a Northerner, when I see a spark of conservatism still glowing within the Southern states.
An April 19 landslide ballot victory in Mississippi insures the preservation of the State's flag, featuring the Confederate (stars and bars) emblem, and is a clear indication that the opinion of the general public is NOT in step with the mass news media and its liberal political mentors.
The issue passed by an approximate two-to-one margin of victory-- a true victory for those who hold dear the cultural heritage of the South.
Of course, the NAACP has threatened an economic “boycott” of Mississippi, but if recent history repeats itself, I say let them boycott.
During the NAACP boycott of South Carolina, during the period from 1998 through 1999, the South Carolina Department of Revenue statistics show that a 9.6 percent increase
in state Accommodation Taxes ensued. (Accommodation taxes, which are paid mostly by
out-of-state visitors, are reported separately to the Department of Revenue).
Although this information proved that the boycott was a complete failure, the local and national news media ignored these figures.
It is of my conviction, that the emblem displayed on the Mississippi state flag, or that of any other state, should not have become a “racial” issue in the first place. It is an issue of preserving the history, heritage, and culture of a very unique region of this great land of ours.
