VIRGIN BIRTH
No, this is not going to be a typical Christmas story based on the birth of our Lord Jesus.
While it would be fitting for me to expound here on His glorious birth as told in the New Testament, the motivation for me to write this editorial is based on a more recent news event, reporting a “scientific success” which is most certainly NOT inspired by God, but by carnal men... men who are merely playing God!
A December 16, Reuters news story posted online related the fact that researchers at Advanced Cell Technology of Worcester, Massachusetts had successfully repeated an experiment in growing an embryo to the 16-cell stage using only a human egg cell and no sperm.. The article went on to say that the experiment was carried out in much the same manner that was used to replicate sheep, cattle and pigs.
The procedure is called “PARTHENOGENESIS,” and is also referred to as “virgin birth!” Although the process does not exactly create a human clone (AS YET), the cluster of “blastocyst” cells grown [are] intended to create a HUMAN embryo. It is the intent of these researchers to then “mine” the embryo for its stem cells which would be destined for other “medical” research.
The reference to “virgin birth” really got my dander up. To me, it is a brutal slap in the face to the Word of God, and those of us who know in our hearts that Jesus Christ was, and [is] the only man born of a virgin birth. The wanna-be gods are marching forward in the guise of scientists and doctors, but their apparent goal is to acquire the very knowledge of life which the Most High God has reserved for Himself.
If these experiments are allowed to continue, we will experience a decline in our society in the near future that will shock even the most intellectual of atheists. If you think violent crime is on a rampage now, just wait until we have thousands of soulless clones roaming free through the land. A human-like creature with NO soul... NO real human conscience... NO fear of God or eternal life or eternal death!
I’m sure a clone would realize this, and have no qualms about taking what they want without any regard for the well-being or even the life of another human being, either cloned or otherwise.
Behavior that we now classify as brutal or ruthless will be pale in comparison to what could be accomplished by a mind with no soul.
Our so-called men of science are themselves behaving as men with no souls in that they have let themselves become so blinded by their own ambition and desire to take credit for “discoveries” to “benefit” humanity that they fail to realize their efforts are more likely to lead to the DESTRUCTION of humanity, as we know it today!
No wonder that the icon for medical practice includes the "SERPENT!"
