Captain D actually lost his right arm in 1997, not to a shark, not in a fight with a Buccaneer, but in an accident caused by a drunk driver.  Since then, Durwin, and talented consultants and associates Ken Groves and Mike Bishop, worked for months designing and building the Capt. D program.  Capt. D assemblies involve drama, magic, and ventriloquism - talents that have served "D" well over the 30 years that he has performed.
